With a capacity of 130,000 liters, this giant aquarium is the largest freshwater aquarium in the Czech Republic and also the oldest public aquarium in Central and Eastern Europe. Since 1998, it has been introducing visitors from all over the Czech Republic and neighboring countries to the tropical fish and plants of South and Central America right in the center of Hradec Králové. Tours of the aquarium take place year-round, six to seven days a week.
In addition to the aquarium itself with its underwater tunnel and rainforest, there is also the freely accessible Café piraňa, where you can watch predatory piranhas while enjoying a cup of good coffee. You can also choose from a range of experiential programs, such as individual relaxation evenings or the rental of a stylish conference room.
